The purpose of this course is to equip instructors with the skills to design fair, transparent, and defensible assessment and grading systems for adult learners. Participants will learn to align assessments to learning outcomes, distinguish between formative and summative assessment, construct rubrics that reduce bias, and implement grading practices that support learning while meeting accreditation and compliance requirements. This course prepares instructors to justify grading decisions, respond to learner challenges, and document learning in ways that withstand audit, review, or appeal.
